New Partnership with MagTek for Instant Issuing Solutions

Athens, Greece February 3, 2009 - Printec Group, true to its uncompromising commitment to provide customers with reliable transaction automation solutions, announces the partnership with MagTek, world leader in electronic transaction technology. The partnership will provide Printec Group customers with MagTek instant card production and issuing solutions in South East Europe.

 

MagTek’s Instant Card issuing product portfolio for fast, convenient and secure instant issuance of financial (credit/debit/ATM) cards at the branch location will be provided to Printec Group customers in all fourteen countries of the Group. Instant card issuance, combined with custom personalization, will provide a higher level of service that existing Printec Group customers will appreciate and new customers will be attracted to. Opening Event for Printec's New Customer Services Center in Zagreb, Croatia

Zagreb, June 9th, 2009 - Printec Croatia, subsidiary of Printec Group announces the opening of its new 660m2 Customer Services Center in Blato, the newly developed area of Zagreb. More than 100 customers joined Printec in the celebration for the opening of the new Center, in a full-day event featuring among others, the latest additions to Printec’s portfolio of offerings in the Transaction Automation area.

New Pay@Pump Solution developed by Printec Croatia

Zagreb Croatia, April 24th 2008, Printec Croatia, subsidiary of Printec Group announces the launch of Pay@Pump, a new solution which has been developed in cooperation with Scheidt&Bachmann TUBS d.o.o. and Medimurje IPC d.o.o.

The solution, which provides 24 hour self service petrol filling and card payment at the petrol stations was presented at this year's Zagreb Auto Show.

Pay@Pump prolongs petrol station's working hours enabling 24 hour work, raising service quality and providing economic benefits, while at the same time enhancing the safety of staff and customers. The introduced solution enables card payment at the dispenser and uses Verifone certified card reader and PINpad. It also supports payment with all card types: debit, credit or private. Pay@Pump can be implemented in any petrol station, either as an upgrade to existing infrastructure, or as a new compact unit.



Printec Group Participates in the 4th EMVCο Terminal Type Working Meeting


Athens, Greece, May 13th, 2008 - Printec Group announces the company’s participation in the 4th EMVCο Terminal Type Working Meeting, which was organized in Toronto, Canada, by EMVCο, the EMV standards Body owned by MasterCard Worldwide, VISA Inc, and JCB Co. Ltd. The meeting’s purpose was to redefine the type approval process for payment equipment (POS & ATM) and the payment software with contact and contactless cards. The meeting participants were a small number of vendor experts, among which was Dr. Fotis Moulatsiotis, Group Professional Services Director, Printec Group.

EMVCο was formed in 1999 by Europay International, MasterCard International and Visa International to manage, maintain and enhance the EMV™ Integrated Circuit Card Specifications for Payment Systems to ensure interoperability and acceptance of payment system integrated circuit cards on a worldwide basis.

Printec Group was one of the ten payment system vendors worldwide to be chosen to participate in the closed panel discussion. Both Printec Group and Dr. Fotis Moulatsiotis were chosen by EMVCo due to their longstanding experience in developing and testing certified EMV kernels.


Printec Group: Extension of the agreement with De La Rue for Croatia & Slovenia

Printec Group Financial Results

Athens, July 2008 Printec Group announces the consolidated results for fiscal year 2007.

 

Printec’s consolidated results for 2007 reveal yet another year of improving financial performance and underscore the Group’s depth of commercial and operating capabilities.

 

Consolidated turnover from continuing commercial operations reached €88.5 million, up 5.8% against 2006. Consolidated pre-tax earnings topped €6.5 million – a year-on-year advance of 41.6% - boosted by an improved gross margin on customer services and a successful containment of operating expenses.

 

In the course of 2007 Printec launched a series of strategic initiatives, bolstering its position in South Eastern Europe:

 

  • The year kicked off in FYROM with the inauguration of Printec Skopje in January.
  • In July, Printec upgraded its rep office presence in Moldova by opening a fully integrated subsidiary operation.
  • In the fall, Printec rolled out its most ambitious geographic expansion project to date – the establishment of Printec Ukraine LLC – combining a high caliber commercial team with a nationwide service delivery capability
  • Finally, the Group extended the geographic scope of its distribution agreement with De La Rue to include an additional two countries - Croatia and Slovenia.

 

In recognition of Printec’s successful history and growth prospects in the region, the Group moved its holding company to Cyprus in the beginning of 2008. Printec Holdings Ltd will now oversee all subsidiaries throughout the 14 countries of Printec’s operating presence.
