Printec S.A. was awarded the contract to create the Issuing Center of Greek Passports

Printec S.A. in partnership with SPACE Hellas S.A. has been awarded a contract to create and operate the Issuing Center of the Greek Passports. The project includes the procurement, installation and techical support of an integrated information solution, developed by Printec.

The most important part of the project is the implementation of the specialized software from company G.E.T. and the special equipment and consumables from the manufacturer TOPPAN. TOPPAN supplies its products only to governments and uses high-end technology during the printing of the passport, by including several security points that secure any passport from being counterfeited. Such high-end security features are only offered by that specific technology and guarantee the highest possible security of the passport internationally.

Printec offers a 24-hour support all year long and a guarantee of restoring the operations within 2 hours.

Apart from the deployment of the appropriate equipment and software to the Issuing Center of Greek Passports, Printec also undertook the civil works fo rthe building of the Hellenic police where the center will operate. The re-engineering of the entire building will result in an infrastructure that will significantly increase the efficiency  and effectiveness of of the issuing process.

PRINTEC S.A. provides an integrated service system for loyalty and fleet smart cards to the National Bank of Greece

National Bank of Greece has awarded to Printec S.A. the supply of na integrated management system for loyalty and fleet cards, for EKO-ELDA use.

Printec S.A. will supply National Bank of Greece with 200.000 smart cards from GemPlus, the worldwide leader in the area of smart cards. More specifically, the order includes 180.000 loyalty smart cards for all the retail customers of the EKO-ELDA gas stations and 20.000 fleet smart cards for the purchase of fuel from the EKO-ELDA stations, which will be used by companies and organizations that have a contract with EKO-ELDA for their fleet  of vehicles.

Printec will install in EKO-ELDA stations terminals from Verifone, the undisputed worldwide leader in secure electronic payment systems. More specifically, the Omni 3750 terminals are easy to use, while they can also guarantee absolute safety and transactional speed, since they are compatible with the most recent security standards by Visa and MasterCard.

Apart from the supply of the smart cards and the terminals, Printec is also responsible for the installation of the terminals and the training of the gas station personnel, the personalization of the fleet cards, as well as the supply of the processing system for the fleet cards.

The project will be completed in two phases. The first phase will include the installation of the Verifone terminals at 400 EKO-ELDA gas stations, while the second phase will be completed with the equipment of 1.300 EKO-ELDA stations.

Printec S.A. provides Automated Payment Systems (APS) to Eurobank.

Printec S.A. has been awarded a contract to provide Eurobank branches with 50 Automated Payment Systems for automated loan and credit card payments. The implementation of the awarded order has been completed, and the Automated Payment Terminals have already been deployed in the interionr of Eurobank Branches throughout Greece, raising the total number of terminals provided by Printec to Eurobank to 103.

The Automated Payment Terminals are produced by the British company De La Rue, the worldwide leader in cash processing equipment. The Cash Star 5110-cash terminals are equipped with magnetic card reader, barcode reader, banknote acceptor with highly accurate counterfeit detection, receipt printer, while user interface is simplified with the use fo a touch screen and a friendly on-screen messaging sequence.

The Automated Payment Terminals are reliable, safe and accurate, they are easy to install and use and they contribute towards the familiarization of customers with the self-service systems. Moreover, by using these machines, Eurobank succeeds to drive non-profit transactions, such as bill payments, away from the teller position, allowing better service for customers and decreasing waiting lines and queues.

Besides the Automated Payment Terminals, Printec has also created and provided Eurobank with an integrated system for the management of the terminals' operation. This system covers needs like: the monitoring of the Automated Payment Systems operational status, the intervention in their operation, the collection of the transactions through the Automated Payment Systems and the creation of files for the host.

Printec Slovenia provides an integrated self-service payment solution to Petrol d.d.

Printec Slovenia provides and integrated self-service payment solution fo rPetrol d.d. the largest Slovenian petrol supplier.

The solution that Printec provides is a self-service fuel station terminal with payment module. Due to theis solution, usual fuel station terminal is upgraded with LCD display (touch screen), card reader (magnetic and chip), encrypting pinpad for PIN entry, thermal receipt printer and SoftPOS SW module.

When a customer with debit or credit card wants to refuel, he can stop at the self-service terminal, insert paying card, refuel, enter pin, receive bill and transaction receipt and just drive away. This solution can be used at normal opening hours as a fast lane (only for refueling), and a self-service line can be open overnight when there is no personnel on the fuel station., offering 24/7 customer service.

The solution allows the customer to use the self-service system, with no need to pay at the clerk. This translates into lower operational costs fo rthe fuel stations, 24/7 opening time for refueling, shorter queues at the refuel terminal and increase in overall customer satisfaction. Currently, 2 pilot self-serice lines are running and in 2005, at least 100 fuel stations will be equipped with the self-service solution provided by Printec.
