Printec Ltd was established in 1988, in Athens. The company’s activities were originally oriented towards the field of Information Technology, and more specifically towards the area of computer peripherals.

In 1992, the company changes its status to Printec S.A. and starts developing new activities in the field of Electronic Payments and Transaction Automation, where very soon it is established as a pioneer and leader. With the foundation of its first subsidiary, Printec Bulgaria Ltd., in 1992, Printec starts its corporate expansion in the area of South Eastern Europe, followed by the second subsidiary in 1995, Printec Cyprus Ltd.

The beginning of the new century signals the group’s further expansion with the acquisition of the business entities of NCR Corporation in Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia and Romania. The agreement also included the exclusive distribution of NCR products in Bosnia & Herzegovina, Moldova, F.Y.R.O.M., Albania and Serbia & Montenegro. Consequently, Printec becomes the larger NCR distributor in South Eastern Europe. Today, Printec operates with 16 subsidiaries in 15 countries, including the latest in Kosovo, Ukraine and Czech Republic..

The company’s Headquarters are located in Athens, Greece. All the subsidiaries share the same basic product portfolio and follow the same corporate strategy. Nevertheless, each subsidiary has an independent structure in order to adjust more effectively to the specific requirements and conditions that characterize each market.
